Inmates Educational Foundation (IEF) is a non-profit organization set up to provide formal education for inmates/prisoners (illiterates and school dropouts) across prisons and correctional facilities in Nigeria. Established in 2018, IEF has educated and provided External Senior Certificate Examination to over a thousand five hundred inmates (1,500) and has consistently motivated them towards greatness.
To have a country where ex-convicts can be re-integrated into the society and educational system through academic prowess. To liaise with like-minded organizations, toward the provision of tutorials, books, audio, and visual learning aids to empower them with the basic knowledge required to launch them on a path to acquire an advanced diploma or university degree. Adequate education would contribute to the reduction of stigmatization, victimization, suffering, feeling of hopelessness, segregation, and temptation to revert to crime after release from prison.
To provide formal and quality education to inmates and juveniles across Nigeria through principles of inclusion, teaching with modern techniques, and capacity development.
